MICROMINE Africa – Introduction Training Workshop

MICROMINE Africa began rolling out the first of many Micromine training workshops that will be hosted in the Johannesburg office over the next year.

MICROMINE Africa has always believed the more proficient users are in the software, the more value they can get out of it. Hosting these workshops is a way to upskill our clients and improve their product experience. The introduction training is a 3-day workshop that focuses on the core functionalities of the Micromine software. This looks at the importing, validating, process, displaying and interpreting of a wide variety of surface, drillhole and subsurface data. Clients become more familiar with the Vizex views as well as the design and editing tools. Statistical tools and plotting functionalities are also included in the course. Clients experience complex data models and learn how to use Micromine to model this advanced data.

This weeks training course included the likes of Kanyisa Secwebu ( Sound Mining), Sarah Turnbull ( Regius Resources ), Lisa Chanderman ( Venmyn Deloitte)  and two independent geologists, namely, Werner Strydom and Brian Radzuma. All of our guests have enjoyed some really good food and have been networking amongst each other over the 3 day course and look forward to utilizing and sharing their new knowledge of Micromine software. When asked what the best part of the workshop was, Werner Strydom said, “The informal setting of this workshop is what stuck out the most. The MICROMINE staff and trainer are among the most caring and genuine individuals that I have ever met.”

MICROMINE Africa firmly believes that the best way to get the most out of our software offerings is to practice, practice and practice. The more you practice, the more proficient you will become.
